Thought of the Week
We must carefully choose the “things we own” and have a clear reason why we own them. Because if we don’t have a clear and meaningful purpose of why we own certain things, they probably own us.
Things are the means by which we can get to our end more easily. They facilitate our path to achieve our natural end by which we dedicate our lives for.
But when we consciously or unconsciously confuse the means as an end, we’re no longer the ones who own them, but the other way around. You will be literally giving your life for them. Just as the lover gives his life to Love; the mundane will give his life to earthly things. Own or be owned.
