It is reckless to place something as valuable as our life’s satisfaction into something (or someone) who we cannot control & be contemptuous with it while doing so.
Things like fame, ephemeral pleasures, and total power over another are like a casino’s roulette. Always spinning. Always changing. And although you may throw the ball into it, as soon as it leaves your hand, your fate depends on something unpredictable.
